I was stoked to be asked to the studio to be part of the Stand Up Again project, real stories to help you stand up again. Nick and Sophie Rado host honest conversations where inspiring people share the moments that broke them - and the choice, habit, or belief that helped them rebuild.
We talked about burnout, exactly how it happened, how it felt and what I do differently now. We spoke about upending my life and taking the last decade to piece it back together around my dreams, and we talked about authenticity and belonging. Coming out and not fitting in to the power of being comfortable in your own skin and accepted for all you are.
Some great questions and an hour of sharing some of my most vulnerable moments and now it’s live for everyone else to see to. The show has wound up on TVNZ so reflecting on those moments as an author and speaker that you share something personal with a tinge of anticipation that it is now in the public domain for all to see!
Word is there’s a book to follow from them on the insights guests have shared soon too.
You can listen to and watch the interview with Sophie and Nick here.
Ultimately I’m driven by the hope that sharing my story means less people end up making the same mistakes and can overcome these challenges to live well. The themes we talk about here are exactly what we’ll be exploring in the documentary too!
I leave for filming overseas in July and can’t wait to explore these topics and retrace some of my steps to help us all master The Art of Being Human.
